Laura Stoll, Founder and Business Director, spent ten years skipping happily along the corporate ladder before realizing the dream of running her own show. She spent eight years climbing the ranks of KPMG/BearingPoint Consulting, lending her talents to system implementation projects for Fortune 500 financial institutions. Born and raised in the Bronx, she traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe before selecting the great city of Chicago as her home.
Though not a performer, Laura completed the storied Second City Training Program in Chicago and Toronto as a right-brain supplement to her very left-brain job. She found that creative infusions of humor appropriately applied in a professional setting allowed incredible levels of communication. The amount of time she spent in incredibly dull meetings led her to dream of a better way. And thus, The Riot Act was born.

Jay Sukow, our Creative Director, has been performing without a script for the better part of the past 20 years. The many talented performers he's worked with through the years are the base for The Riot Act's incredibly deep nation-wide talent pool. His energy, enthusiasm, and unwavering focus on performance quality make him a favorite of audiences and performers alike.
He has amassed a wealth of valuable ideas and experience in his years writing and performing for Fortune 500 corporations, including PepsiCo, Kraft, Daimler Chrysler, Yahoo!, McDonalds, BearingPoint, and AT&T.
When not performing, Jay emcees teambuilding programs, driver-demonstrates Lambhorginis and The Maybach, and teaches improv at just about all of Chicago's famed improv theaters.
